About GSE 2026

The Global Startup EXPO 2026 (GSE2026) is Japan's national-scale startup and innovation showcase, taking place 5–7 October 2026 in Osaka's Umekita district. Backed by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Osaka Prefecture, the City of Osaka, and a network of universities and research bodies, Global Startup EXPO 2026 brings together corporates, investors, and government stakeholders from across Japan's innovation ecosystem.

For Singapore startups, Global Startup EXPO 2026 is a structured entry point into Japan, not just an event to attend, but a direct channel into the country's corporate innovation network. Through the expo's Event Hub portal, participating companies work toward securing at least 3 one-on-one meetings with Japanese corporates, giving you a concrete, facilitated way to build relationships and open doors in the Japanese market.

What's included upon approval

Companies shortlisted by e27 and Sony Acceleration Platform will receive:

- A complimentary event ticket to GSE2026 - Access to the Event Hub portal, enabling you to schedule at least 3 facilitated business meetings with Japanese corporate partners at the expo

Not included

Flights and accommodation are not covered under this programme — participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements.
